"Are
you tempted to 'leave the place of leadership' for the place of
compromise?" |
You must know within
yourself that you are a leader. You must realize this quality within
your own self. You may hear it. You may hear your parents say it to you.
You may hear teachers, instructors, or or co-workers speak of it. But
the person that needs to know it, in order for the power of it to come
alive, is YOU!
When you have yet to 'know'
for yourself, what others are 'truly' saying concerning you, as it
relates to your uniqueness, leadership qualities, or gifting, you will
not experience the confidence that you deserve. You will find yourself
compromising your life, principles, and beliefs, in order to be
accepted, or make a 'friend.' When you find yourself having trouble to
stand in what is right in the presence of your

generation,
then it is safe to say that you may be welcoming a spirit of compromise,
intimidation, and low esteem.
You can be the 'life of the
party' and still suffer from low esteem. Esteem is not built from the
voices of those who see you. It is built from the Voice that you hear
and see for your own self. It is built by 'your own handiwork!' Others
may enjoy your company, but to what 'expense?' Are you 'living in
misery, trying to make everyone like or accept you?'
Are you tempted to 'leave
the place of leadership' for the place of compromise? Are you confident
in the way that you dress? Are you confident in 'your own style?' Is
there anyone or anything that is 'forcing their style upon you?' Do you
like your hair? Your body? Do you like your smile?
People can be evil in this
world, this is true. But if you have yet to really know yourself, 'the
ignorance that you possess can magnify every thing that you feel is a
flaw in you.' It will make you so self-conscious, that you won't enjoy
being 'different.'

There
is nothing wrong with being different. There is nothing wrong with being
you. But YOU have to know that for YOURSELF. When you don't believe in
yourself, you won't believe in all of the good things that are seen in
you and spoken about you.
Believe YOURSELF.
